Busy - a very short opera

Busy by Elín Gunnlaugsdóttir, is a very short opera; one could even argue that it is not an opera! It is so short! The lyrics are by A.A Milne, better known in most circles for chronicling the life of teddy bear Winnie-the-Pooh. The poem Busy has been interpreted as a story of a child, yet one could also see an adult who has lost himself and goes in circles to find himself again. The poem is humorous and the music is playful. The piece is composed for Gunnlaugur Bjarnason, baritone and Matthildur Anna Gísladóttir, piano, and directed by Bergdís Júlía Jóhannsdóttir. Set design and costumes are made by Eva Bjarnadóttir.
