Bergþóra Linda Ægisdóttir
Vocalist
Bergþóra Linda Ægisdóttir is a vocalist and has a B.Mus in Classical Voice from the Iceland University of the Arts. Her principal teachers were Hanna Dóra Sturludóttir, Þóra Einarsdóttir, Dísella Lárusdóttir, Stuart Skelton and Kristinn Sigmundsson. She has an international M.Mus degree, New Audiences and Innovative Practice, also from the IUA, where she focused on experimental music in performance, improvisation and composition, and the blurred lines between the three categories. She is a member of Breiðholtskirkja Choir and has premiered two new pieces as a soloist with the choir in 2024, Maríukvæði herleiddrar konu by Hróðmar I Sigurbjörnsson and Passía by Ingibjörg Ýr. In December 2024 she will join a group of musicians at the Zodiak Residency in Helsinki to develop a choral dance piece, led by dance Felix Urbina Alejandre. Bergþóra also has a BA in Philosophy and Ancient Greek from the University of Iceland.
