Eiríkur Rafn Stefánsson (1988) started his music studies on trumpet at Hafnarfjörður School of Music. He later enrolled into The Musician’s Union Music School (FÍH) where he finished advanced degree in jazz trumpet playing alongside a diploma in music teaching. In the spring of 2019 he finished a BMus in jazz arranging and composing from Amsterdam Conservatory of Music. Eiríkur has played with various music groups and as a session trumpet player over the years, for example The Reykjavik Big Band, Samúel Jón Samúelsson Big Band, Seaber, Sóley and Hafnarfjörður Concert Band. Eiríkur is also an avid teacher of music and teaches both trumpet and theory classes in Reykjavík and surrounding towns.
