Gunnlaugur Bjarnason is an opera singer, born and raised in the town of Selfoss, Iceland. He first studied singing at the Music school of Selfoss but later moved to Reykjavik where he finished his Advanced Exam at the Reykjavik College of Music. In the spring of 2023 he finished his MA-degree in classical singing at the Royal Conservatory in Den Haag, Netherlands. Gunnlaugur's operatic debut was in the Icelandic fairy tale opera, Mærþöll, which premiered in Iceland in September 2022.
