Magnea Tómasdóttir, soprano, studied singing with Unnur Jensdóttir at Tónlistarskóli Kópavogs and under her tutelage graduated from Tónlistarskóli Seltjarnarness. From 1993 she studied with Hazel Wood at Trinity Collage of Music in London, UK and graduated from there in 1996. Her voice teachers today are Jón Þorsteinsson and Hlín Pétursdóttir Behrens. From 1997 to 1999 was Magnea a member of the Operastudio at Colegne and 1999-2000 as a member at the Opera in Colonge, where she sang various roles, such as: First Lady at The Magic Flute by Mozart and Gerhilde in the Valkyrie by Wagner. Magnea performed Senta in The Flying Dutchman in Nation Theater of Iceland in Listahátið 2002. She has also and may solo performances at various occations in Iceland, Germany, Sweden, Holland, Italy and U.K.
