The Norwegian baritone Patrick Egersborg, born in Trondheim (1986), studied at the HfM «Hanns Eisler» in Berlin, and finished his master degree in opera at the Norwegian National Arts Academy in Oslo in 2014. He proceeded to work with opera companies across Scandinavia and the UK, such as Oslo Opera Festival, Copenhagen Opera Festival, Opera Østfold and Grange Park Opera. In 2021, he played both Silvio and Tonio in Pagliacci at Søholm Opera and the Copenhagen Opera Festival in Denmark, directed by Natascha Metherell. By February 2023, Patrick debuted as Conte di Luna in Verdi's Il trovatore with Operaen i Kristiansund, Norway. He is also part of the opera company Operakollektivet, both as a singer and a creative producer. In October he will play the role of the Case Worker in the premiere of their opera Systemet, created by Gísli J. Grétarsson and Oda Fiskum, showing both at Opera Trøndelag and in Reykjavik at Harpa Concert House as part of the Operudagar festival. Additionally, he is premiering his solo operatic show, Is This It?, at Operudagar, with its main premiere set for Copenhagen in March 2024.
