Started out his artistic career around the experimental musicscene in Denmark in the early 80'ties. Attended dance- and performancetraining since the late 80'ties. Schooled by and worked as sounddesigner and performer for the aknowledged Danish performance troupe Von Heiduck (1992-2000) touring most of Europe with a series of Peepshows and e.g. awardwinning show Salomé (best performance Germany 1998-99). After studies in Mediascience at University of Aarhus and puppetry- and Nohstudies in Japan he established and defined his own theatre of Neopuppetry, ritual and sounddesign ”Mediet og Masken”. As an artist working with developement of life-sized hypernaturalistic puppets and defining a Neo-puppetry theory he has played several solos in Tokyo Japan, Thailand, Malaysia and throughout Europe. Since the mid 90'ties he has worked as an actor with many danish directors and several companies e.g. Kristjan Ingimarsson Company, Livingstones Kabinet, The Royal Theater. Svend E. Kristensen has been teaching and giving lectures in the fields of performance and physical theater since the 90'ties and puppeptry since 2001.
